Welcome to the first edition of Kwir Olimpiks!

Kwir Olimpiks will consist of a 5-a-side football tournament, 6 different games and a children’s area. After the event, we will be heading to Gozo Pride. All these activities will be happening at the same time and they are all FREE OF CHARGE. Water will be available for free. 

Volunteers will organise simple games for children while there will also be a FREE BOUNCY CASTLE.

All participants will receive a handmade soap made by SOAR, an organisation that works with women survivors of domestic violence. Registration time on the day will be between 9.30am and 10am.

Football Tournament

Are you and your teammates ready to show your skills? If you have a team of a minimum of 5 players you can register!

Kwir Games

The Kwir Games will consist of 6 different funny games: ‘Three-legged runway walk’, ‘Drag race’, ‘Sassy egg and spoon race’, ‘Hit them all’, ‘Tug of war’ and last but not least, ‘Hit me, Dodge me’.

Individuals may apply for the games and then you will be assigned a team. Please note that all games will be played by all teams.

Children’s area

The children’s area will consist of a Bouncy Castle that all children can access for free and there will also be some games such as egg and spoon race and three-legged race.

Please note that we will try to accommodate for each individual child’s needs. Parents must supervise their children.

Why Kwir Olimpiks?

During the last year, MGRM youths have organised a number of sports events including hiking, football, rugby and yoga. These safe spaces gave the opportunity to the queer community in Malta to engage in sports in a safe and non-competitive environment.
